"Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?" - Matthew 7:3
We're all perfect, and we all want everything just so and our way. But we know that's not the case, nor is it the reality. We're all flawed, and we all give-and-take to work side-by-side with our neighbor. That is the truer face of reality. Or is it? Do we expect and accept the imperfections of others? Do we fault others when we are to blame? Do we harbor false accusations when defects arise? Do we see the splinter in our neighbor's eye when there's a beam in our own eye? Heavenly Father, like the deficiency in these rosary beads, may my shortcomings be just as acceptable to You, our Blessed Mother, and my neighbor. Amen. |
